Measures beta for TabIt players
Measures is built for TabIt users. Your .tbt files open as they are and the keys you know still work. Around them is a full studio: real instruments and effects, your own plugins, recording, a mixer, mastering and export, and a play-along game that scores you as you play.
This is the first beta, for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). It's rough in places, and that's the point: we want to know what breaks and what you'd change before 1.0.
Windows will warn that the app isn't recognised, because the beta isn't code-signed yet: click More info → Run anyway. Google Drive may say it can't scan a file this large: click Download anyway. Optional extra synth sounds (500 MB) are in the same folder.
How to take part
- Download and install Measures. The first time it starts, a welcome panel shows where your TabIt things are.
- Follow the tester guide (about an hour), using your own TabIt songs.
- Send feedback: in Measures, Help → Send feedback saves a report, then opens the form. Fill it in after your first hour, and again whenever you find something.
What helps most
Your TabIt songs, especially ones that open wrong or sound different; diagnostics if anything crashes (Help → Save diagnostics); your audio interface's results; and, if you play guitar, short DI recordings of the training exercises. Everything is optional, and nothing leaves your computer unless you send it.
Songs and recordings you send are used only to test and build Measures, never published, shared or sold. To have anything deleted, say so in the form.
Measures will be open source (GPLv3).
